Graphitized petroleum coke
Graphitized Petroleum Coke (GPC) is an essential raw material in the metallurgical industry, widely used as a carbon raiser (recarburizer) in steelmaking and casting processes. It is produced through the high-temperature graphitization of petroleum coke at 2,500-3,500°C, characterized by its high fixed carbon content, low sulfur, and low impurity levels.
GPC is known for its high absorption rate, stable performance, and efficiency in reducing harmful elements like sulfur and nitrogen in the molten metal. This makes it an ideal material for producing high-quality steel, cast iron, and alloys.
Graphitized petroleum coke is made by calcined petroleum coke. The main process is the graphitiztion in the graphitization furnace. Graphitized petroleum coke is a good quality recarburizer product with low nitrogen Characteristics.
Application:
Graphite petroleum coke is widely used in special casting processes as a recarburiser, in particular in manufacturing high-quality ductile and grey cast iron products with precisely controlled sulphur content, as well as in other applications.
